INSULATING YOUR ATTIC AND ROOF
In our extensive experience, we've worked on over 20,000 attics and found that only some meet the insulation standards required for optimal energy efficiency. To meet these standards, your attic should ideally have around 14 to 16 inches of cellulose insulation. However, many homes we've encountered had only about 5 inches, which falls short of the recommended R-60 value according to the Ontario Building Code.
Cellulose insulation, which we use, is a Canadian-made material primarily composed of recycled newspapers, making it an eco-friendly choice. It's about 80% recycled and has the added benefit of being treated to repel pests. It's no wonder that homeowners who opted for this insulation saw a noticeable difference and reached out to us for help!
When we install blown-in attic insulation, our experts will assess your home to determine if it's the right choice for you and what R-value is appropriate for your needs.
